I am Egle, the founder and director of „Siciliana“.
After my master's studies in Lithuania, I lived and worked in Southern Italy for some time. Through my windows I saw the beautiful island of Sicily, and I traveled there often, so when I got a business idea, I already had a name (it. siciliana – “sicilian woman”).
While working in a pediatric clinic, I noticed that many patients have skin problems; they find it difficult to find a suitable skin care products. Doctors usually recommended the products of “Sterilfarma” even for the newborns. Having a very dry and sensitive skin, I soon began to enjoy the benefits of this manufacturer's bath and shower gel and oil spray. I loved them and soon my family started to enjoy these products too.
During one trip, I went to “Sterilfarma” and met its founder and director. They were surprised by my knowledge of their products, and I received a job offer that soon developed into a business idea and cooperation.
We are currently distributing “Sterilfarma”'s natural cosmetics and hygiene products line named “Unico”. It is a unique range of products made from natural ingredients. This product line is produced for the most sensitive – newborn – skin, so it is suitable for anyone with sensitive, dry or allergic skin that requires a special care.
In the first months of our activity, our product range was augmented with one more product category – natural Mediterranean sea sponges. At present, their extraction and distribution takes up the most of our time and gradually becomes the main activity. It is a completely natural product that grows in the warm Mediterranean waters. Our sponges are hand-picked and hand-crafted, so each one is unique, preserving a whole bunch of minerals and still smelling the sea.
Natural Mediterranean sponges are:
Marine sponges are commonly used for body or facial care, but they are also used for arts, crafts, restoration of the sensitive art objects, decorative painting of walls and furniture, cleaning of various surfaces, animal care, etc.
We often take part in various exhibitions, fairs, so follow the news in our “Facebook” account! :)
